What is Ares Wizard?
Ares Wizard is an add-on, which is popular for its role in maintenance on Kodi. It has many useful tools and utility features. For some time, it had been shut down after a crackdown, which redistricted its operation. However, it was later revived and is now actively running. The latest version of Ares Wizard consists of only the maintenance tools without the builds section. Other features that were stopped are; Video add-ons, game, and music add-ons from the repository.
This add-on is famous for its quality streaming and programs. It provides complete optimization and backup to Kodi databases. The best part is the Ares Wizard is designed to give Kodi users a great experience. If you are tired of Kodi buffering or need to get the backup of all data, this software will solve it for you. The comeback Ares Wizard allows Kodi users to perform optimization steps such as clear the Cache file.
Features of Ares Wizard
After launching the Wizard you will observe tab options for Maintenance, Backup, Tweaks, More, and Settings. The new version also comes with some changes. For example, check out the Browse Builds and Browse Add-ons tabs, which are currently inactive. Ares Wizard no longer hosts builds and add-ons currently.
Maintenance and Backup
The Maintenance tab gives you a chance to clear unnecessary Kodi data. This will help you free excess baggage, which could be eating up storage space. For example, you can delete thumbnails, packages, and cache as well as the temp files. In case you need to make a backup of your Kodi data, all you need to do is click the Backup tab to see the available options. The tab can also be used when restoring the data backed up using Ares Wizard. Depending on your preference, you may choose to take the full system backup or choose specific data. This includes; Add-ons, Add-on Data, Favorites, GUI Settings, Sources, and more.
Tweak Tab
If you want to allocate extra space, the Tweaks tab is your option. It can also allow you to reduce the space for Video Cache. Note that Kodi can allow a specific size for the Video Cache. However, if you need to speed up the video buffering, simply adjust the size to make the most use of it.
More Tab
The More tab reveals extra additional options, which is the section from where you can reset Kodi to default for a fresh start. Instead of uninstalling, you can simply reset Kodi, which is a good alternative as it will save you time. Resetting Kodi means all your Kodi data will be erased apart from the Ares Wizard add-on.

How to Install
Before installation of Ares Wizard, you will need to make minor adjustments to the security options in Kodi. Customizing Kodi’s security is necessary to avoid restrictions on how Ares Wizard will operate. This means that both versions of Kodi require some small changes in the setting called ‘Unknown Source’. Here are the steps to follow:
- launch Kodi and on the home screen, click on ‘settings’
- Click on ‘system settings’ on Kodi Krypton 17.6 or ‘system’ on Kodi Leia 18
- Choose the desired add-ons on the left side and drag them to the ‘unknown source on the right to switch in ON.
- A pop will emerge with a warning to prompt you; click Yes
The warning pop-up message above appears to be a bit discouraging. Thankfully, though, it is true that you should practice care, especially when dealing with malicious add-ons. You may risk installing software, which may harm your device. However, add-ons such as Ares Wizard have garnered a good reputation thanks to their efficiency in providing solutions to speed. For a long time, this software has proven useful in making the most out of Kodi utilities. This means there is no need whatsoever to worry about this installation. They are proven to be safe. In fact, there are many testimonials to the fact that it has helped many users solve major issues already.
After enabling the ‘unknown source’ option, your Kodi is ready for installation of the Ares Wizard add-on.
